Make the day your own
Start at the saddle
Follow the yellow trail from the car park. The lake is 3.6 km away; do not set the lake itself as your driving destination.
Pause by the water
Leave time for the view and a snack. The approach climbs near the end; choose a pace that suits everyone in your group.
Return by the same route
This walk finishes back at the saddle. The circuit over Rozvodí to Devil’s Lake is a separate, steeper outing, not a small detour.
Before you set off
Arrival and parking
Drive to the paid car park at Špičácké sedlo by Hotel Karl, then continue on foot. We cannot guarantee a space or the current tariff; check navigation and local arrangements before leaving.
Children and pushchairs
The tourist office describes an asphalt approach with a climb at the end. Useful when considering a pushchair, but not a guarantee of an accessible route throughout. Snow and ice change the conditions.
When to go and what to bring
Layers and sturdy footwear make this forest walk more comfortable. The suggested 2–3 hours include stops; they are our planning allowance rather than a measured walking time. Check alerts, weather and paths before setting off.
Out with your dog
Dog access on this specific route is not verified. Check the Černé and Čertovo Lake nature reserve rules and local signs.
